Who She Is

How a community connector became a successful business coach

Amanda Benson-Tilch started her career in Valencia, California where she owned and operated a flower shop for 3 years, building the brand from scratch, prior to getting into real estate. Her hard work, dedication to making a difference, and knowledge of the area quickly helped her gain loyal clients and established her presence as a Santa Clarita Valley business expert. Six years and two children later, she joined the Hyatt Regency Valencia family as Catering Manager, eventually being promoted to Business Travel Manager and Social Media Ambassador.

Amanda’s sales, marketing, branding, social media experience, and community involvement landed her the Hyatt Public Relations Award of the Year in 2015 from Hyatt Corporate. The impression she made at Hyatt and the long-standing relationships she developed in the community, led her to the Associate Publisher’s position at élite Magazine, a Santa Clarita Valley community publication. During her time there, many of her advertising clients reached out for help with branding, customer service, and other SCV business coaching questions. She loved helping people reach their goals which led to the launch of Ask Amanda Consulting.

Since 2017, Amanda has helped tons of small companies increase their business-to-business connections and build a business-to-consumer presence. She specializes in offering feedback that reflects the perspective of her clients’ potential customers while boosting their digital marketing skills to improve their status on social media. Ask Amanda Consulting has recently grown to include the Behind the Business video series and The Ask Amanda Show, an interview-style video podcast series meant to help small business owners.

Amanda’s most challenging project is also the one she is the proudest of, Burbank Fitness Club. In September of 2017 Amanda took on the project of rebranding, renovating, and repositioning this 22,000 square foot gym located in downtown Burbank, CA. This gym has since been featured on Emmy award winning series Destination LA, and was named club of the month for April 2023 by Club Solutions Magazine.

In her spare time (what little she has of it) Amanda likes to take short getaways with her husband & friends to Ojai, Los Olivos, or Santa Ynez. However, you can usually find Amanda at any (or every) non-profit event in Santa Clarita. She has served on the board of Child and Family Center, College of the Canyons Foundation and WiSH Education Foundation while also serving on committees for several other philanthropic foundations.

Amanda’s true passion for helping others fuels her purpose both as a Santa Clarita business coach and a connected member of the community.
